My Heartache, I'm Lost and Nothing Make Sense Anymore

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together, never to be separated again.

Rest In Peace my angel. Mommy and Daddy love you and we'll see you again one day soon.  I'm sure the Lord is having lots of fun with you right now.  He's probably having to wipe slobber off the clouds.

I miss you terribly.  There's a big hole in my heart that you used to fill.   I love you, home just isn't the same without you.

I am so sorry for your loss. Pets are so great. There is something special about them. I am sorry I didn't see this sooner but my blog list never updated your blog. I just decided to check on you today because I haven't "seen" you around lately. I hope you are okay.

Thanks so much. Just posted it this afternoon. I haven't been able to blog since it happened. It's been really rough. But we're doing a little better everyday.

Oh my gosh. Tears. I'm sooooo sorry for your loss. I didn't even know she was sick or anything. As I look down at my puppies in my lap, I cannot imagine the pain you must be feeling. RIP, Blu.

Omg...I'm so sorry, my heart goes out to you. It's so terrible to lose a pet...it's like losing a human family member.

Thank ya'll so much. Its been rough. It was sudden her stomach twisted. (something that can happen to big dogs) One minute she's fine and the next she's not. She made it thru the night but we had to have her put down then next morning :( my poor baby. She had a brain tumor also but it was under control w/ meds. then all of the sudden this happens. I keep telling myself that maybe it happened this way because she may have suffered w/ the tumor. One minute she was here and the next she was gone. Its so hard to deal with. No warning or anything she's just gone and we miss her so much.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Blu' was a beautiful dog.

My Phoebe passed away almost 2 years ago. I can't believe it's been that long ago already. I miss her so much and still talk to her every day. (She visits me in my dreams and I'm able to hold her and pet her again.)

About a year ago I started volunteering at my local Humane Society in honor of Phoebe. I go every Sunday.

On the anniversary of Phoebe's death (June 30th) I plan to take the day off from work and volunteer and walk dogs that day instead. I did that last year too (though last year I hung out with the cats.)

You are in my thoughts. Blu' is in heaven with my Phoebe. She will share her McDonald's ice creams and french fries (which I know she is having daily up there!)

(I have a tattoo of my Phoebe on my right arm. It's my favorite picture of her. I had that done about 4 months after she passed away)

I am so sorry to hear about Blu. It is very difficult to lose a pet. I lost my 18 year old cat Katy last September and I couldn't even get out of bed for days. I'm thinking about you during this difficult time!!!
